Scheduled Messages
Write a message now, have Hez post it later
Write a message now, have Hez post it later — once, or on a repeating schedule — for weekly events, rotating tips, and anything else you'd otherwise have to remember to post by hand.
Turning it on or off
Every server chooses for itself — switch Scheduled Messages on or off from your dashboard, under Messages & Automation. When it's off: scheduled messages will not be posted.
Setting it up
- 1
Write your message and pick a channel
Supports the same rich message building as Embeds.
- 2
Choose one-off or recurring, and set the timezone
Recurring schedules also let you cap total occurrences or set an end date.
- 3
Turn on the activity guards if the channel isn't always busy
Skip-if-last-is-bot and only-if-active are both optional but prevent awkward posts into a silent channel.
- 4
Pause instead of delete for anything temporary
/scheduled-messages pauseandresumekeep the schedule intact without recreating it later.
One-off and recurring
A schedule can fire exactly once at a chosen time, or repeat, with an optional end date and a maximum number of occurrences so a recurring message doesn't run forever unless you actually want it to. Every schedule runs against a timezone you set for it.
Posting versus editing
Most scheduled messages post fresh each time, but delivery can instead target and edit one specific existing message — useful for something like a rotating "status" post that should always be the same message, just refreshed on a timer, rather than a new post cluttering the channel.
Smart skipping
Two independent guards keep it from posting into dead air: skip if the last message in the channel was already posted by a bot (avoiding back-to-back bot spam), and only post if the channel has actually seen activity within a window you set — skipping a scheduled post to a channel that's gone quiet.
Commands
Tips & things people get wrong
- Edit-mode delivery needs a real, still-existing target message — if that message gets deleted manually, the schedule will need to be recreated pointing at a new one.
- A recurring schedule with no end date and no occurrence cap runs indefinitely — set one of the two if this is meant to be temporary, like a limited-time event.
