Sticky Messages

Keep one message at the bottom of a busy channel

Keeps one message glued to the bottom of a channel — as members chat, Hez quietly deletes and re-posts it underneath so it's always the last thing anyone sees.

Turning it on or off

Every server chooses for itself — switch Sticky Messages on or off from your dashboard, under Messages & Automation. When it's off: sticky messages will stop being re-posted.

Setting it up

  1. 1

    Set it with `/sticky set`

Or right-click any existing message and use "Set as Sticky" to promote it directly.

  2. 2

Set a repost cooldown if the channel is busy

Without one, a fast channel will re-post it very frequently.

  3. 3

Remove it with `/sticky remove` when it's no longer needed

/sticky info shows what's currently stuck in a channel.

Who it applies to, and repost pacing

A sticky can be limited to specific roles (an allowed-roles list) and bypass roles are exempt from ever triggering a re-post, useful for excluding staff-only channel chatter from constantly bumping it. A cooldown between reposts stops a very active channel re-posting the sticky after every single message.

Commands

Tips & things people get wrong

  • One sticky per channel is the practical limit — more than one gets confusing fast, since only the most recently posted one stays at the bottom.
  • Best reserved for the one rule or link people keep missing in a busy channel — using it for general announcements tends to get ignored the same way a pinned message does.
